(Finally) A New Restaurant Opens In Hinsdale IL Area

Scapa Italian Kitchen In Downtown Clarendon Hills

Can we be any more restaurant-deprived?

Last Sunday night at about 6:30 p.m, I thought I’d take my wife and kids to the newly (like a week) opened Scapa Italian Kitchen in downtown Clarendon Hills. As we pulled up, there was a line out the door. Ouch.

We came back on Monday.

The menu felt like an old friend. It just worked. The freshly made eight finger cavatelli with their vodka sauce was awesome. So was the chicken vesuvio. And the Italian wedding soup.

The concept is brought to us by John Scatchell of Hinsdale and the  La Bella Pasteria restaurateur from Oak Park fame. Thanks guys. I’ll be back.
