Good news on the culinary front in Hinsdale.

A new breakfast restaurant is set to open in November of 2009 in the space formerly occupied by Embrace restaurant. The new Hinsdale restaurant is to be called New Yolk New Yolk. It is owned by the same group which has Dali Café in downtown Downers Grove and Eggstasy restaurant in Oak Brook. That is good news, too.

Both nearby western suburban restaurants get as creative as you can get with breakfast. Their standard French toast is stuffed with fresh strawberries and mascarpone cheese. My favorite dish, found at Eggstasy in Oak Brook, is the mango crepes with honey.

If New Yolk is anything like the other two venues, you should expect an interestingly whimsical design theme.
