While Hinsdale real estate is an absolute bargain right now, an annual member ship at the Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Community Pool is an even better deal.

If you register before June 1, 2009, the rate for the whole family is $250. That is a steal. Just to have a place where the ambient sound of water splashing drowns out your kids’ screaming is worth the $250 alone.

If you have not been to the Hinsdale pool, it is pretty cool. There are three pools. A zero depth pool for the really little kids. That area is fenced so that the big kids do not trample them. A 50 meter pool with depths from 3.5′ to 5′. And a diving pool with a crazy slide with which local dads commonly make fools of themselves.
