How You Can Become A Hinsdale Metra Train Snob
If you lived at 613 S. Bodin in Hinsdale where the train station is just four blocks away, you'd become one too.
It really does not get any more convenient than this.
When the owners of this house bought it, they did not realize how extremely convenient it was until weeks after they moved in.
For starters, it’s just two blocks to Madison School and (contiguous) Robbins Park (one of the largest parks in Hinsdale). In addition to just being close, the short walk is along a route which has sidewalks. Translation: the kids no longer need to be driven or walked to school.
Dietz Park is a block south.
The Metra commuter train depot is located about four blocks to the northwest.
Hinsdale Middle School is just six blocks to the east (in downtown Hinsdale).

The house is in nothing short of flawless condition. If you’re like me and you read another real estate ad which talks about a home’s condition being "better than new", you’ll want to scream. However, this one really is better than new. Although it’s just six years old chronologically, it’s effective age is about one year. That’s good news compared to buying a new home. The landscaping has begun to mature. Window treatments have been paid for by someone else. Any items that needed to be worked out, have been worked out.
If you have never seen American cherrywood floors, you are certainly in for a treat. This is a hardwood that is so beautiful, it is normally reserved for furniture. Instead, 613 Bodin has floors and stairs made of this fine wood. It evokes a feeling of warmth and tradition that is simply unmatched.
Another unique characteristic is the presence of a first floor den or library. This is not a common inclusion in this price range. Of course, the one found here is completely cherrywood. It’s handsome look is reminiscent of something you’d expect to see in a home designed by Ralph Lauren. Take a look at the virtual tour link. You will definitely see what I mean.
