A New Middle School For Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills and Burr Ridge Kids?
Community Consolidated School District 181 Announced Today Their Intent To Study The Feasibility Of Constructing a New Middle School
Today, the Village of Hinsdale and Community Consolidate School District 181 announced the creation of a new joint task force which will have as it’s purpose to examine the feasibility of constructing a new middle school.
The basic concept is for the village and district 181 to build on already owned park land. The multi-purpose building would be used jointly by students of district 181 (residents of Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills and Burr Ridge) as well as Hinsdale residents.
Initially, the plan calls for the new building to be constructed on Veeck Park, located in the southeastern section of Hinsdale, north of Chicago Avenue and immediately west of Interstate 294. The project would be financed by the sale of the eleven acres of land on which the current Hinsdale Middle School resides.
A forthcoming referendum will determine the ultimate outcome of this idea.
