How Much Time Does It Take To Sell A Home In The Near Western Suburbs Of Chicago?
The average home marketing time has been consistent throughout 2007 for Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, La Grange and Western Springs
Now that we are into the fourth quarter of the 2007 real estate marketing year, the patterns for market activity are well-developed. Marketing time is an important measure of a market’s performance. In residential real estate, marketing time is defined as the period of time between the time a home goes on market and the day it goes under contract.
On average, the towns in the near western suburbs of Chicago have marketing times in the six month to nine month time frame. For specific days-on-market for each of the towns where I focus, see below:
Burr Ridge: 186 days-on-market
Clarendon Hills: 211 days-on-market
Downers Grove: 203 days-on-market
Elmhurst: 199 days-on-market
Hinsdale: 215 days-on-market
La Grange: 150 days-on-market
Western Springs: 210 days-on-market
These numbers have been consistent at this level throughout 2007
