Each Monday, I perform a thorough review of the real estate market statistics to get a weekly snapshot of where the local residential market is heading. Here’s how the stats looked as of August 6, 2007, organized by suburb:

Hinsdale

Number of active house listings: 361

Average days on market: 210

Number of Active house listings under contract: 33

Percentage of House listings under contract: 9

Number of house contracts accepted over the past 30 days: 28

Number of house contracts accepted over the same 30 day period last year: 26

Clarendon Hills

Number of active house listings: 130

Average days on market: 210

Number of Active house listings under contract: 14

Percentage of House listings under contract: 11%

Number of house contracts accepted over the past 30 days: 9

Number of house contracts accepted over the same 30 day period last year: 10

Western Springs

Number of active house listings: 140

Average days on market: 220

Number of Active house listings under contract: 17

Percentage of House listings under contract: 12%

Number of house contracts accepted over the past 30 days: 19

Number of house contracts accepted over the same 30 day period last year: 11

Burr Ridge

Number of active house listings: 174

Average days on market: 179

Number of Active house listings under contract: 9

Percentage of House listings under contract: 5%

Number of house contracts accepted over the past 30 days: 10

Number of house contracts accepted over the same 30 day period last year: 8
