Chicago Highlands: The first new golf course to be built in the western suburbs in over 80 years!
Conveniently located east of Interstate 294 in Westchester Illinois
Scheduled to be open in 2009, Chicago Highlands is the
first golf course/country club to be built in the near western suburbs of Chicago in over 80 years. The private country club is to be set on 270 acres in near western suburban Westchester. Westchester is near Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Western Springs, Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills and La Grange.
The basic concept. The designer, Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Associates, has designed over 300 golf courses. Chicago Highlands will feature golf, swimming, tennis, paddle tennis, ice skating, bowling and the like. Don Ruggles of D. H. Ruggles & Associates is designing the 35,000 square foot clubhouse facility.
The cost. Currently, charter memberships are being offered at $100,000 while the golf memberships are targeted to start at $115,000. Annual dues are projected at $9,300.
