Village Of Hinsdale Changes Popular Leaf Pick Up Service
Leaves must now be bagged for village pick up
When asked what I like best about living in Hinsdale, my stock semi-sarcastic response has been twofold:
- The trash service. The waste service picks up the trash behind my garage. No muss. No fuss. It’s completely hassle-free. And I’d never have to worry about forgetting to bring the can to the curb.
- The curbside leaf pick up. Up until now, when the leaves had fallen, it was incumbent on the homeowner to get the leaves to the street-unbagged. Talk about taking the sting out of Fall.
Like all good things, this one is coming to an end (#2 that is). Starting in the fall of 2007, the village of Hinsdale will still pick up leaves curbside. However, this eight week no-additional-charge program requires that the leaves are bagged.
Non-compliance with this new set of rules will result in one warning and fine thereafter.
