Even the non-drinkers enjoy the ambiance

In the near western suburbs of Chicago in the greater Hinsdale IL area, a wine cellar has become a key component of the mega finished basement. I’m not referring to a near 55 degree dark area with reasonable year round humidity. Rather, a full-fledged walk-in area with temperature/humidity control, a fancy racing system, finished interior, ambient lighting and an impressive door.  

You’d be hard-pressed to find a buyer (particularly of a new home) object to the presence of a good-looking wine cellar.

Many of the better cellars in Hinsdale IL, Western Springs IL, Clarendon Hills IL, Burr Ridge IL and Oak Brook IL have adjoining tasting areas. Typically, these include a small table and chairs (outside of the  cellar where it’s not so cold).

Did I mention cellar sensors?
